Club Rules

Official rules and regulations for Trophy Bass Club tournaments, membership, and the point system.

  1. 1

All membership dues must be paid and membership approved by the CLUB Members at the CLUB meetings prior to fishing the tournament.

  2. 2

Annual dues are $20.00 and the tournament entry fee is $35.00 from Wednesday (meeting night) 7:30pm till Thursday night at 12:00am. Anyone paying on Friday or Saturday prior to tournament day will pay $40.00. The selected lake for the tournament will be off-limits the Monday before the tournament, except for the spring two-day tournament. The breakdown on the funds collected is $5.00 goes toward the Big Bass Pot for that tournament, $5.00 goes towards the championship and $5.00 to the bass caught over 6lbs. After the 3rd tournament new individuals will not have to pay $5.00 for over 6lbs, unless a new pot is started. The $5.00 collected after the Thursday deadline will go towards the championship. The top finisher (AOY) for the previous season and the club member responsible for the spreadsheets/web page will have their tournament fee covered and only pay for the big bass pots ($15.00).

  3. 3

All State and Federal Laws and Texas Parks and Wildlife Regulations shall apply at all times.

  1. 1

  2. 2

All bass must be caught on artificial bait, no live/dead bait can be used. You must fish by casting. No trolling allowed.

  3. 3

A Member or Guest must weigh his/her bass only. You cannot weigh a bass caught by someone else as your own. If you are caught doing so, you and the person that gave you the bass, will be disqualified from the tournament and possibly face being expelled from the CLUB.

  4. 4

All bass will be in a live well at all times. No bass that has been on ice will be weighed. All bass brought to the weigh-in must be in a water holding container.

  7. 7

Any Member or Guest can win only one place per tournament. Any place, not paid out, will be retained for the Classic Tournament Fund for that year.

  8. 8

Dead Bass will be weighed, but a 1/2 lb. (Half Pound) deduction will be made from the weight of the dead bass. No bass will be weighed unless gills are red or pink.

  9. 9

Tournament times will begin/end at the specified time voted on at the club meeting, unless the Tournament Director deems it necessary to change the times for any given tournament. Members and Guests must be in the weigh-in line by the end time of the tournament or face disqualification from the tournament.

  10. 10

All fishing must be done while in the boat. If you leave your boat for any reason, you must have lines and pole down. If you exit your boat, you cannot continue fishing until you are back in your boat.

  11. 11

Any Member or Guest leaving the tournament, before the weigh-in, must notify the Tournament Director or a fellow Member.

  12. 12

We urge everyone to use safety during tournaments. With that being said, it is strongly suggested you wear your life jacket while the big motor is running. Trophy Bass Club is not responsible for any accidents or injuries sustained during a tournament.

  13. 13

Any protest must be given, in writing, to the Tournament Director at least 15 minutes prior to the announcement of the tournament's results.

The only lake fished back-to-back will be Squaw Creek in the months of January and February. All other lakes can only be selected one time except for the championship lake(s) selected for November.
